I love this barn too. Is that air conditioning hanging from your rafters? Cause that's just completely unfair.

Don't get too jealous though. The reason this awesome shed is available for my use is because it's one of 8 warehouse we have for rent... And thanks to the downturn in the economy, I only have three of the eight rented out. In a small town, in a bad economy, you can't get 50 cents a square foot for warehouse space. So, I put it to good use, and store my baby in my own warehouse. But everyday it sits there, we're losing money. I'd much rather move it back out to the pole barn and collect rent on the barn it's in now... Anybody need a couple thousand square feet of warehouse space?

-Red, looking for renters...

Hey, that "warehouse space" looks perfectly suited as enclosed climate-controlled RV storage. If folks won't fill it with merchandise, maybe they will fill it with RVs.

Thanks Red for a very humuorous and informative thread, I had not heard of the Clecos before and they will help enormously with our work on the Shiny Beast.I've used McMaster- Carr for 30+years at work and one thing I have noticed over the years is that they come up with alternate/generic names for the products so Clecos are listed as 'Plier-activated mini spring clamp systems' in the big yellow book but on the website they have the grace to recognize Cleco and re-direct you. Thanks again

Thanks Britbat! I honestly don't know how you could do a belly pan without them... It was hard enough with them.

Red, Thanks for an interesting read. I was thoroughly entertained and I learned something. Any day that you learn something is a good day. The comment about an upside down drill press made my day. I have a mini bench top drill press that I will take apart and re-assemble with the power head mounted upside down. Replacing belly pan rivets is on my agenda for this summer and I have been dreading the thought of drilling out eleventy six bajillion rivets and replacing them while laying on my back and pushing up on a drill. I already bought an air powered rivet gun so i won't be getting arms like Popeye the Sailor from this job. You solved the other half of my dilemma and now I am looking forward to getting it done.

Glad I could be of assistance... I just used a cordless drill and a floor jack, but it worked like a champ! Good luck with that belly pan!

-Red, finding an acorn now and again...
