Just wanted to show my project

I finally got around to posting some pictures of my 76 sovereign,I hope to be able to send more as I progress.Thanks for all the advice

Looking good, nice outriggers too! BTW I just found out the other day we can still buy those from an Airstream dealer...go figure... I will probably go that route on my '80 when the time comes.

plywood replacement

I don't know how the replacement will go, I'm going to start pulling out the rotten spots tomorrow, I'll try to send more pictures. thanks

Arggghhh! Looking at your pics just reminded me of how I'm never doing this again. I think I could even smell it through the monitor screen!

In my opinion the easiest way to replace the plywood and get it into the bottom c-channel is to lay the sheets lengthwise instead of cross-wise. Put a plywood spline 4 to 6 inches wide under the middle joint and attach it to both sides with glue and screws. On the ends you can put the curved pieces in cross-wise if you put them in first. The trick is start with them on the diagonal and rotate them into position.
