We're starting to build rebuild a 1974
Sovereign we just purchase. It looked very good when we purchased it 2 weeks ago. Thinking we could get away with just a interior makeover...we were mistaken. Like many trailers of this vintage it has floor rot. A substantial amount. More that we were expecting. A heartbreaking amount. You get the picture.
I think we knewdeep down this was going to be a to-the-frame build. It may just have taken us a while to realize. So instead of looking at it like a "what did we just spend on" we're taking it in stride and turning it into an opportunity to get the airstream we wanted all along.
As we're at the beginning of things - some tear down has been commenced - I'll enclose some pics of what was, what is and hopefully what will become.
I have lots of questions. Lots. That's why I'm here!
