31' Sovereign

Is the 31' from rear to the ball or is it the actual box measurement?

Also what is the weight if anyone has it?

Thanks

I am getting closer anyway

Here are the weights - http://www.airstream.com/files/libra...c5c1005fbf.pdf What year are you looking at?

The 31' length is bumper to ball. Although at 31' it is anything more than 31' and less than 32'.

Looking at a 74 31' for $4K. The only thing that I am puzzeled about is the oven is at the end of the cabinet up in the wall. Can this be replaced with a newer unit if needed?

Airstream made thousands of trailers with that oven in the wall (bulkhead).

I am not aware of anything to replace it, other than changing out the counter top stove with a range and oven combo.

Thanks for that link....wow, our rig is at 5300lbs empty, yet I'm looking at that chart and it says that it' supposed to be 4840lbs...I wonder what's making ours weigh 460lbs more.

I just had it weighed at a certified weigh station, in order to get our Sovereign registered in Texas, and I gutted everything from the interior and made sure the fresh water and black tanks were empty. There was no propane in my aluminum tanks either.

Still good info to have, thanks.

A roof AC will add about 120 pounds.

Spare carrier?? Another 40 pounds or so with the tire and wheel.

BAL jacks, just a few pounds, maybe 20 or so.

The water heater still could have been full, that's another 8 pounds per gallon.

I doubt the weight tables included an AC unit. Do you have one?

Yes, I do have the original Armstrong A/C, which will freeze you out of the rig, LOL!

No spare carrier, though I wish I did...would be a nice option.

Water heater was empty, as were all the tanks and lines.

AGM battery? I know that adds some weight to the mix.

When South Jersey RV did the refurbishestoration (my new word), they did put in a new fridge, a new Suburban furnace and had a new black tank custom fabricated.

Who knows???

The wall oven was missing in our Sovereign so reinforced the cabinet it was in and installed a Sharpe do everything microwave, AC is available right next to it.
Also bought a Coleman Stove Top oven for the rare occasion we need one, and it works fine. By the way, the Sharpe has traveled over 10,000 miles so far and no trouble.
