Switch

Hi,

We have an 1982 Limited and am wondering if anyone is able to explain to me what this switch is for? It’a located close to the front window. Lights seem to light up green or red.

Thanks!Click image for larger version

That one took me a minute to figure out.

Otherwise I'm clueless. As usual.

Searching the threads I found a few possibilities:
1) One position sends the power to the air conditioner and turns off several outlets. (Load Shed Switch)
2) (similar) AC/Microwave selector switch.
3) Instant Hot Water heater outlet switch

Reminds me of a good Steven Wright joke: “In my house there's this light switch that doesn't do anything. Every so often I would flick it on and off just to check. Yesterday, I got a call from a woman in Madagascar. She said, 'Cut it out.'”

I have a switch a little like this that is an antenna amplifier on my '82 Excella. Mine is wood grained, though, and has a label saying it is for an amplifier. However, mine is on the wall above the stereo next to the coaxial port from the roof antenna, not up front.

Good luck figuring out what your switch is for.
