'86 31' Sovereign

Hello I just became the proud owner of a 31' Soverign. The out side is beautiful but the inside is pretty .Im not sure where to begin. I dont want to hurt any thing I found this group and hope to get some guidence. The inside is pretty much intact. So far I gently removed the nasty carpet and exsposed the OSB below. The floor is solid except for a little dry rot under one of the beds. Imjust not sure how to proceed without hurting the value. Can I paint? What do you all advise. I fell in love with this beauty at first site and plan to hold on to her forever, but don't want to mess her up Any advise is muchlly needed be for I get going. Thank you hope to see you on the road! I'm sure there are two thoughts on this. Personally I would make the interior to your taste. I would attempt to preserve any useable original parts even if this means removing and placing them in storage. Like you, I don't plan on selling my 1957 Overlander.
