Need a Grey holding Tank

Hi,

I'm in need of a new Grey Holding Tank for an 89, 29 Foot Excella.

I've checked with AS and no luck, ... not available anymore.

they did give the name of someone in Ala who might have a source.

I've also checked with Vintage Trailer Supply and AS parts.

Any thoughts?

Dave

you can get them custom made. Do a search for custom holding tanks. They are definitely more pricey, but you can sometimes get a bigger capacity. Or you can make your own, but as someone that did it, I'd encourage you to find something that is just similar in size.

Marine suppliers are good sources of custom made holding tanks.

I put in holding tanks in three different sailboats, the last a flexible tank that worked well. Defender Marine and West Marine were good sources. Out of Doors Mart in NC might be a source for Airstream type replacement. They always seemed up on parts replacement.

Good Luck

Check with Inca Plastics. They were the historical supplier of tanks and might have the mold or tank you need. I got a black tank for my '73 that is essentially the exact same tank.

Hello,

Saw your post needing a gray tank. Several years ago I salvaged out a 87' Excella 27 ft trailer. It MIGHT be possible that the tank out of it would work.
The general dimension are 21 1/2' x 8 1/2' x 56' with a corner cut out that I did not measure. If these are the GENERAL dimensions then I will measure the cutout so we can be specific as well as the inlet and outlet holes size and location.
Just let me know if you are interested....

We just got back from spending time in the Conyers area.....

Hi Jimmy and thanks for the response. I think tough that my holding tank is thinner at it's widest point.

Need a Grey holding Tank

Tanks.com, or something like that, has them listed by size.

You will be able to find one that will work, drill the hole, install the inlet, and done.

These are "off the shelf" and not pricey.

Just went out and looked at the tank again.
It has an Airstream part number of 601316 stamped in the tank faintly and it is about 6 3/4" deep at the largest end.
Just let me know if it will work for you....will send you photos if I can figure out how to do that!!!
