Hensley Hitch Set-Up

AS is an 89 29’ Excella
Tug is a 206 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Eco with Max Tow.

Newb with this hitch.

Can anyone with a similar setup (truck and trailer) share with me what stinger bar you are using?
Mine came with a 4” and a 2”, but not sure I am using the appropriate bar.
With the 2” upward it seems to not allow much WD tension without raising the tongue. With it downward, seems to need too much tension to level the tug and trailer.

Maybe I need the straight stinger bar?

All help appreciated.

What is the height from the ground to the inside top edge of the 2" hole in the receiver? And what is the height from the ground to the top of the coupler of the Airstream?

Well, I have a Excursion and the measurement from the ground to the bottom of my receiver is 17”. I use a 2” bar in the drop position. Mine is very level.

From ground to inside top of truck receiver hole = 20”
From ground to top of Hensley bar coupler = 11.5”
From ground to top of AS coupler hole = 18.5”

Just what we did....👍

I measured from the top of the coupler with the trailer level.

Then got a stinger that measured the same from the top of the ball. In our case the drop when hooked up was returned to level with WD set.
TV & trailer level when loaded for Camping.
