Another brilliant idea! (No pun intended.). I also like that you're using yellow lights, which will be less likely to attract bugs in the summertime. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

My goal is to be able to work outside at night without straining my eyes. so I needed a lot of light but at the same time I did not want white light. The lights I installed are actually white but I put an adhesive filter on them. in addition, yellow fits much nicer with the vibe I am going for the trailer. I was originally looking for more of an amber color, but I have not found an adhesive filter that would get me that yet.
I did not think about the bugs as we don't have much here but you make a good point

I recently was getting kind of fed up as I was not making progress on the trailer at the rate I would like. Many of the recent pictures were steps started months ago. But it is finally coming together, I know to be patient to take the time to evaluate different options.
The one thing that was really busting my behind was the tail lights. I actually started that part a year ago with the first mount prototype. After making a total of 4 tries at it, I decided to get rid of it. I was never satisfied how it was looking or complicated it was. So this weekend I started plan E: I am mounting them directly on the shell. I finally like it. simple, stupid, efficient and clean.
At the same time I started replacing the blue trim band in the center back. The lights are not yet screwed in, but the location is set.
Also, two weeks ago I go a new tool/toy that will allow me (hopefully) to make the custom gaskets for all the exterior lights, and potentially other parts as well. More on that later.
