New Vendor - Rivet Master - Yippee!

Hello Guys,

this is my 500th post and I thought I'd make an announcement. You know me already but I'm coming clean! Ever since I started the process of buying my Airstream nearly a year ago, I've come to realise that the marque is not well represented here in the UK. I had to buy my Airstream in the US and get it imported myself. Others who have done it will tell you that it's a high risk strategy that can cost you an arm, a leg, and possibly everything! By utilising my life savings I've imported two Airstreams now and it's taught me many things about managing risk and attention to detail. I intend to continue that good practice in the business I'm starting today.

In the spirit of the forum I also plan to organise a cooperative import service for Airstreamers over here to spread the cost of shipping in parts from the US.

My first Airstream for sale is going through the final stages of it's refurbishment and will be ready for sale within the month. To support the venture I'm building a website that will be online within a few weeks. For me, there was only one name: www.silvertwinkie.co.uk

I want to thank the members of the forum for all the support they've given in getting to this stage. I will be running a business. But, just as importantly, I would like to build a support structure for Airstream owners in the UK.

Regards,

Marc Harris.

Thank you Van. I consider myself to have been blessed. As a photographer I've spent most of my life doing something other people do for a hobby! If I'm going to carve out another career I want it to be in something I love and I love the Airstream! I love it enough to live in one and that's been just as informative as reading the forums! Lol!
Marc

Bugger Me! I've arrived! It says "Commercial Vendor" on my profile! Now all I need to do is start earning money instead of bloody spending it!

Congratulations and good luck!

Remember ... "knock you up" has a totally different meaning where you are than where I am.

Marc and I have been messaging this morning -- AIR Forums is glad to work with our vendors and thrilled to have such a strong alumi-nut in 'Old Hampshire.' (I like that... ) I've always appreciated the quality of Moonstruck's posts. Please continue jumping into any thread, Marc, offering your view & experiences. Heckuva 500th post -- worth karma IMO -- anybody else wanna pass some his way?

Hi Richard and guys thanks for the Karma!
I admit I had to look it up myself but found some very nice comments from quite a few nice folks and I'll certainly be using it myself.

Marc
