We have a new tail light kit and you do not need the lens or cans (the metal part that holds the bulb) This is a hard wire fix and the wiring diagram will be shown below.
If your sockets in the cans are beyond repair but you still have the cans it will be a plus. The guts can be taken out of the socket holes and the wires run through the holes. If you do not have the cans you will need to seal around the Black bezels.
It will work on all 3 assembles shown below.
If you have the one in the middle of that picture, the one with the running light out to the side. You will need to add a extra wire.
