We have a new light that has the very same finish as the reading lights that are in so many units from 2003 to now. (2014) It is the same light but with a larger base. I have had so many folks ask for a swivel like this that would go over the hole where the eyeball socket light was in the 70's models over the couch. I'm sure you would have to put something in the hole to attach it too but with the base being 3.5 inches it should cover the hole.
