Micro Pulse Probeless Systems Monitor - How to Operate

Hello Airstreamers,

We decided to put together a "How to" video for the operation of the Micro Pulse Systems monitor used on newer Airstream travel trailers and motor homes. Your youtube comments are greatly appreciated.

Patrick, I for one, really appreciate the effort you and Lauren have put into these videos.

WRT the Micro Monitor, there's currently discussion about the calibration. Is there any way you could produce a second part to the video and show the calibration steps.

I know a lot of folks would really appreciate it.

Thank you for your interest in our videos. Our service department will be focusing on the parts and service videos in 2012. I will put in a request for the calibration procedure.

Happy Holidays,

I appreciate these videos also. I just replaced my black tank sensor and calibrated that tank only following the directions in the manual but it is a confusing process. I probably read through the booklet ten times before beginning the process but I managed to follow the directions successfully. A video would have certainly made things easier.

It is unfortunate that the manufacturers of the components for Airstream travel trailers and other brand RV’s are not being proactive like Zip Dee inc. is, in making their own service & maintenance videos.

Hi, first off, I think your videos are great. Thank you. I did learn that I could check each status separately; I never knew that. However, I don't agree about the accuracy or dependability of this system. My battery status works great, my fresh tank doesn't work at all, my gray tank reads empty and full only, and my black tank only reads empty. Maybe my sensors are bad, but it seems to be a mystery as to where the sensors are hidden. My gauges on my 1959 Ford Galaxie still work, but the gauges on my 2005 Safari failed while under warranty and again about two years later. I don't know what it would cost for a dealer to repair this system, but if they are only going to work for about one year, then I guess it would be best to do without. [my experience and my opinion]

I am sorry to hear about your difficulties with the tank monitor system. Although not perfect, compared to a probe system the probe less system is more accurate and needs less maintenance. It can also give reading in 1/8's vs. 1/4 or 1/3's like the industry norm. I would recommend contacting your local dealers for repair.
