Great Deal on a Bambi Order
Having trouble finding a dealer willing to make a great deal on a new Bambi order. One dealer who advertises quite a bit on the internet quoted his best deal on a new order is a 7% discount from MSRP. The dealer at the Tampa RV show said he could not do any better than a 14% discount. My local dealer will order a new one for a 15.75% discount. I was hoping to get at least a 20% discount.
Anyone got a great deal on a new Bambi lately? Who? Where? How much?
Thanks.

I think 20% is at the high end of the scale. 15% is not bad, but 7 is a joke.
I would call Paul Sherry RV in Ohio. They are about 25 miles or less from the factory, but it is a hike from Florida.

Economics 101
Supply and Demand.
Until the factory catches up with the (assumed) backlog, I doubt if any dealer would have an incentive to cut too deeply.
Airstreams (both new and vintage) have been getting a lot of publicity lately.

I think there is a used 2004 bambi at Paul Sherry
I was picking up our Safari 28W (story coming soon) and somebody else was picking up a Safari 25B. He traded in a 2004 bambi for it. The Bambi looked perfect -- but they guy had two dogs that camped with him...so I dunno what the inside might be like...the dogs were with him during his process.
You might want to call them up to inquire about it...

I just got 16% off on a unit on order. That is from Toscano RV in Los Banos, CA. They sell more than anybody (#1 in AS sales) Currently, they have sold out most of their stock which is usually sizable. I did not see any Bambies.

We just got about 17% off on a 16CCD here in New Mexico. They had just gotten it in a
few day before. We were really happy with them - straight forward and no games on
pricing.
We spoke with a dealer in Mesa AZ who was talking about a 'couple of thousand off.'
The folks at Sutton up in Oregon said they had 2 on the lot and 1 on the way - and they
seemed negotiable - but we went with the deal here close to home.

Here a link to a new AS dealer in GA. Don't know anything about them. Just passing the info along, if you want to check it out.

I hate to recommend them - but check with Bates RV in Dover. I got 20% off an on-the-lot Safari last year.

Go to an RV show. They ususally deal a bit better at the shows.
Also FWIW, the Bambi is either the number 1 or number 2 purchased coach. When we were at the factory, they had far more Bambis on the line than any of the others. Most or about half were CCD Bambis.

I forgot to mention that Holiday (in New Mexico) has a 2004 19' safari Bambi on the lot.
It has the Amarillo package.
We picked up our 16CCD yesterday (1/30) and were really happy with the professional service
and friendly attitude.
