I like the flag holder! What's that light on the jack? Where can I get both?

triterra, I make the flag holder. All aluminum easy no fuss mount. The light is standard Airstream issue, probably still available.
PM me if you need any info. Thanks. Safe & happy travels .John

Mine just got here John! Or should I say I just got back from South Llano River State Park and it was sitting on the porch! Woo Hoo, I will have it on before Johnson City in a couple of weeks!
Now...what flags do I want to fly????

PS.. South Llano river is spring fed and still has plenty of water. Hard to find in Texas now a days...

John, it looks like a great product. We will be at Ebenezer County Park Oct 13 to 16 +/_
Any chance we could hook up and see if this flag holder would work on our jack post?
Thanks, Ron

John,
I got back from a trip Sunday evening and the flag holder was waiting in a box on the front porch as I said above. Then the flu hit me, I have not been to work in three days. Heck, I just got out of bed today... Ugh... So I finally opened up the box. It looks great, can't wait to get out there and install it. Maybe tomorrow.... What size poles did you buy from Lowes?

Chuck, bummer about the flu. That stuff isn't supposed to be around till winter. Maybe you 've gotten it out of the way now.
I use the aluminum telescoping "painters" poles, 1" in diameter. About $13 bucks each. They even have a blue threaded tip & trim like it was made for AS. Worst thing about them is getting the labels off. Tuff stuff. I knock the handle off by whacking an old screw driver inserted thru the hole in the handle. The hitch pin clips make quick, easy mounting for the flags. I usually just roll the flag around the pole for storage.
Get over that flu & get back stream'in. Let's see some pics of your flags. Texas has a great looking flag. Love that lone star! John

Got My Flagholder!

It was waiting for me when I returned from the NM Unit Rally at WHite Sands National Monument. The flag holder is a work of art! The paint roller extension handles worked like a charm.

Ken, glad to hear the holder is working for you, I thought you'd like it. It looks good & works really well. Got to thank Lowes for the great poles. Maybe their purchasing agent is an Airstreamer! John

OK John, Finally got a little time to install the holder. I figured I would just fly the flag they gave me upon my retirement. Turns out, that old slogan, "Everything's Bigger in Texas" applies to the flags too!

So...Holder looks and works great, but I think I need to downsize a bit on the flag. Or maybe I could use it as a sail??? I will figure it out!

Thanks for an excellent product!!

3 X 5 Works Great!

But I'm not sure Texas makes 'em that small.

Found some...whew..I had to go black market to get a little Texas Flag though. Says on the label it was made in some foreign country..Anyone ever heard of Albuquerque?

Lowes was all out of painters poles so can't fly the party flag yet.

John, I used the spacers and the holder snugged right up. Looks perfect on there.

Chuck, good looking unit. Definately need that party flag in there. I have a new contact for an aluminun painters pole MADE IN THE USA. Same size (1"d), anodized, smooth instead of fluted, very nice pole, also inexpensive. Hope to have more info today. I will post it ASAP.
Since you used the "c" adapters do you have a 2" jack post?
I noticed all the stars on the front of your trailer. Looks like she is well traveled. No doubt about it, these things don't like sitting still, they were built to roll. Keep moving. John

Pole Update

I came across a very nice AMERICAN made aluminum telescoping painters pole by Mr. LongArm. I like them better than the "Lowe's Poles" because they are smooth rather than fluted. About the same price, +- $14. They cannot be purchased direct from Mr. LongArm but are retailed at Tru-Value Hardware stores and Menards. You can call them at 1-800-821-3508 for their nearest retailer. Model #9272. If you already have "Lowe's Poles" not to worry. They are also good poles. Mr. LongArm just gives you another option. If you need some check them out. They are nice, friendly, helpful AMERICANS in Missouri. Mr. LongArm.com

Hey , Chuck- I suppose you know that if'n you only gonna fly two flags the US flag goes on the left as you are facing the trailer. When flying three, goes in the middle.
