My friend tinbender owns one of the early 2001 16' models. I am sure they will be thrilled to know that it is one of only 24 produced.

Patrick, thanks for that! I'd love to see it expanded to other Airstream lines. Compiled information is scarce for the later trailers, unlike having vintageairstream.com for the older stuff.

Only 24 2001 Bambi 16's?!? Wow - I know where there is a not-so-cheap one basically rotting away in a field in CT....

I've been trying to find out how many bambi 16's have been produced in the years '98 thru 2009. Some yrs productions are available but not all. Could be , they were only produced for fewer years than the 12 yr span. I just purchased a 2005 Bambi 16' Safari and am very pleased so far. I do have the necessary upgrades , AC, awning, hy jack, fan fan. I have it parked right next to a '61 Bambi and the size is noticable. Not knocking the '61 as I owned a '60 Pacer, SS0422 . It served us well. We bought a Suburan 2500 to haul the 31' but used the Pacer more. Sold both those AS's on ebay in '03 . I'm an AS fanatic and my empty lot on Lake Erie was aching for another AS to sit on it. My DH told me he was through hauling and in truth I don't like those cow field rallies any more either. He surprised me and bought me this one. I think it's Americana with him. He already had a Harley, AS, but the John Deere is out of the question as we are city dwellers.
