Glad to hear it worked out. I would most likely not return to that dealer again, but that's just me.

Atwood 10 gallon LP water heater-$400 at Camping World.
12" brakes, including magnets and backing plates:- $50-65 each.
Thetford Bravurra toilet- $165 at Camping World.
Looks like you can buy the water heater and brakes new, and install them yourself, with the money you got back.
Good that you got as much as you did, I have had many one-sided conversations with people like that, about half of them went as you described. The other half, I didn't do so well, but left the guy cowering under his desk when I left...

Thanks all...I learn lots everyday! Especially with the AS...until I picked her up I had never towed, let alone stayed in a camper....but there was one thing I knew....I sure didn't want to belong to a breadbox...all plastic and square...reminding me of a really bad hotel room instead of a cozy cabin....I will stick with my classic with all your help! A.

Shady Dealer...

As a "Thank You Very Much" gesture in sealing the deal with these schmucks... I mean, gentlemen, I'd print off a copy of this thread and provide this business with our learned opinions and gentle guidance.

The forums help us spot these guys a mile away and the power of information & reputation is unimaginable. Sometimes, bottom-line managers need a nudge or two to remember the old axiom "The customer is always right"... look at what it took for them to "see the light".

Oh... and as to the past president who wanted the definition of "is"... how 'bout the one who said "Mission Accomplshed"?
