We are contemplating taking our baby to South Jersey RV to have them do the plumbing/electrical work. As there are not too many places that work on old airstreams near Washington, DC they would be the closest to us. Has anyone used them before? Did they do good work? at a good price? Any other suggestions for getting this work done without sending the trailer to TX, CA or AZ?
Just talked to him yesterday. Asked him to watch for a 56 Whale Tail for me. Your's wouldn't be that now would it. I really like the 13 panel units. Anyway seemed real friendly and knowledgable on the phone. Down right pleasant.
Do you have pictures????
This past Tuesday I had a window shattered on my trailer as I was towing through Maryland. I called South Jersey RV and told them I was coming in for an emergency repair.
Not only did they do a fine job on the repair, but Ron Amme was there at the shop to meet me at 8 pm. The next day he and Linda gave me a generous amount of their time and a tour of their facility and current projects.
South Jersey RV was once the biggest Airstream dealer in the USA. Now they specialize in repairs and restorations. Ron and Linda Amme have a tremendous wealth of knowledge that they share freely.
They are mostly focused on bigger restoration projects these days but still care about helping all Airstream owners. Needless to say, I was highly impressed and would recommend them highly.
