Joshua:
Congrats on the sale... I think.... lol
Was just thinking about you and the Mrs. this week, almost time to get out and do some camping.
Was also thinking about the potential Canton Rally, but I would guess unless you have another AS up your sleeve, that's going to be up to someone else to pull off?
I figure you guys won't be without an AS for long.... hopefully.

I dumbfounded, I just spent the last 2 hours reading this whole thread and the repairs you have done on your Airstream. I was getting a feeling like you were really passionate about your work and whole Airstream experience, then you up and sell everything. It seems to me after all this work you have done you have really never took the steps to enjoy your endeavors and the experiences of being an Airstream owner other than one or two trips. Am I missing something here, did you not like the trips you took in the Airstream, were there just to many problems with the unit, was the unit not right in someway for you. I mean you customized it for you and Mrs S, new tow vehicle, Tires/Rims, TV's through out, customized outlets, generators, Floors, this thing is ready to rock and roll then you sell it without really and explaination, but maybe you got an offer you couldn't refuse. I have a 28 footer and it is one of the best things I have ever purchased, the experiences I have had in it are irreplaceable, it would take a chunk of change to get me to part with it, because finding one to replace it seems to be getting next to impossible.
Good luck in the future,
HankO

Not so good! I've been so busy I haven't even had time to really do any searching for my next project. I'm currently drawing up plans for a shop. I've acquired lots of new tools for my next project. Even got me a new welding machine at a steal!
Kinda kicking myself in the butt for selling our Airstream, we're not camper less, just Airstreamless. Keeping my fingers crossed for the next big project.
I've had a few folks check in on us, glad to know we are missed. Bet a lot of you were thinking I bailed, I'm plotting, slowly.
I was thinking I'd have a new fixer upper by now. O well, patience patience!
We're still around and we miss everyone dearly! Hopefully we can find something soon! Something reasonable. Some people think their sitting on a gold mine. ;-)

Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I haven't had any luck either. Should have purchased yours from you when I had the chance. I have a line on a really nice older Avion a few hours from here that just came up for sale. The Airstream pickings are still really thin here.

We just couldn't get them to deal with us on the new one. Then some one shot in and up an bought the darn thing. Guess some folks aren't concerned with big spending.
So now I'm off the new and lookin at old.....really old!

We would really like to see y'all get another Airstream. We had a beautiful 34' at our Midwest Rally that was beautiful! Had a black marble floor in the bathroom! Thought of y'all during the rally. Wish you could've joined us!

One at Conway, AR
Hi Joshua,
Listen, there's a 1967 International Sovereign at Moix RV in Conway. I love it. But Ray won't let me get another one!! LOL Last I heard they were asking $6,900 for it, but it's been there a while. A guy who works there liked it, and polished it, but alas, he apparently didn't know what he was doing and left swirl marks. But all in all, it looks pretty good on the outside. No serious dents, etc.
The inside is a mess, but I know that wouldn't be much of a problem to you! It is lacking a refrigerator, and the interior is original complete with dirty blue gray carpeting. But I bet the floor is ok. Looks like it may be getting close to axle time, but hey, offer 'em less.
Moix RV is north of I-40 as you go through Conway, Arkansas. You can see it from the interstate.
They aren't going to get what they are asking and should be getting pliable about now.

Hello everyone I just aquired a 1990 excella 1000 it seems to be In good condition. Does anyone have any advice on where to look and what to look at. The app wouldn't let me start my own thread I'm really excited I've wanted an airstream since I was a kid.
