We just visited our "new" 1990 Excella 1000 34' in snow storage yesterday. It does have a strereo in the front. We searched high and low looking for the speakers. Where the heck do they hide those darned things? Once we hook a battery up and turn it on in the spring we'll find 'em, but until then, where they heck are they?
One on each side in the front, behind the curtains, just to the rear of the wing windows.
One on each side in the bedroom, either to the rear of the bedroom windows if it's a rear bath model, or just in front of the rear wing windows, if equipped, or on the rearmost flat side skin if not equipped, if not equipped, in a rear bed model. All are behind curtains.
I recently changed the speakers in my ’83 43’ Excella. One of the switches that turned the bedroom curbside speaker was bad, so when I replaced it, I did all the speakers too. There are photographs at http://www.airforums.com/forums/f450...ent-38596.html. In the photos at the bottom, you can see the placement with the curtains pulled back. This upgrade has really been worthwhile.
Thanks for the replies! Behind the curtains makes perfect sense! Leave it to A/S to come up with a great way to hide the speakers. I will also save the replacement information, as I can also guess that the speakers won't be the ultimate best, and replacements are so reasonable.
