Very frustrating. Sorry to hear of your loss...and hope it is found in good shape. I can't stand the very thought of people who think it is OK to steal someone else's hard-earned property and profit from it themselves.
I keep a yellow REESE coupler lock on the Scotty...and will be getting one for the Bambi II soon as well, even though it is not really towable at this time, the crooks won't know and won't care.
These trailers are so small, they are easy to take. Dad never kept a coupler lock on the 31' Airstream growing up, but it would have been much harder to steal.

Uh, I'm not in law enforcement but the guy who bought it is guilty of receiving stolen merchandise, grand theft at that, and he should be sitting under a very bright light down at headquarters flipping on who he bought it from...or am I misreading something here. Also, if they know who stole it, he/she should have info about who bought it.

The theif is out looking as well the police said.....worst thing I have ever had happen...hopefully will end well. "BUYER" wants to rehab theif told police...like you would not have a clue 200.00 is a stolen trailer....

Sorry for your loss
Those "many other things" he confessed to were no doubt many other crimes.
Your case is now just one of many and he will be looking to plead out and get a package deal for them all.
He probably now has a free public defender.
Have the local scrap yards been checked? Pawn shops?
I'm guessing your thief probably has a drug problem, a money problem and a truth problem. Not necessarily in that order.
I'm guessing he's probably on probation and that he has a record. The cops should be able to tell you this.
Contact the prosecutor's office directly. They should be able to tell you too.
Don't be afraid to be a squeeky wheel. Let everyone know you want to be kept abreast of everything. If it goes to court, be there.
Make sure everyone knows you want your trailer back. Tell them that after you get it back, then you'd like to be heard regarding punishment.
Good luck.

Yep- that is your VIN/Serial #. Yours is the 73rd Bambi II made. I feel I live too far away to help...in PA...but will pray that all goes well.

Wow......what a shocker! Have you approached the Grand Rapids Press, TV8, TV13 and TV3? It seems the sooner you can spread the word, the better. Someone around here has got to know something! Also, you might want to check with Woodland Travel Center (our GR Airstream dealer).....they could keep "on the lookout" too.

Ohh - I'm so sorry! I like 62bam's idea of notifying the news stations. Whoever 'bought' it has to park it somewhere, and some of those neighbors will watch the news.
Wishing you the best of luck on your baby's safe return!

So sorry to hear this sad news!! Patrice - I'm sending you a PM with my email address so you can send the larger file of your trailer's picture(s). I'll repost them here in a larger size. Send me the best quality and highest resolution you've got.
We'll get this found.
