Exterior Molding-Original??
I am looking at a 2001 27' Safari for sale. On the front of the trailer at least(batteries died on my camera and now don't recall for sure if on the sides and rear as well) at the beltline, this trailer has a molding similar to the molding on all Airstreams at the bottom of the trailer where it transitions from aluminum to the black bottom trim.
I don't recall seeing this on other Airstreams. My question is whether or not this is factory original. If not, why would it have been installed there?
The trailer is in good shape; there are almost zero dings anywhere so it is unlikely that it would be covering impact damage. I wonder about the many posts I read about corrision damage. However, there is zero signs of it on the exterior and the bottom side of the trailer.
Any thoughts about this?
Thanks.
