Triple towing

I have a 27 foot Safari. Also a 16 foot skiff weighing in at 1000 lbs with its trailer. Anybody tripled towing? What mods would be needed.

I would first ck all the states it's illegal in before proceeding.
Some you might want to visit down the line.

Towing 2 trailers? It's not legal in Kentucky unless the second is a 5th wheel which can be towing something. Total length not to exceed 65'. Pretty sure about that but you should check with the DMV.

You see it out west, but hardly ever east of the Mississippi.
It seems to me to be a nightmare to get gas, stop anywhere.
I believe you're limited to the interstates and access roads, so not everywhere.
The Airstream frame is not designed to tow.
Even where legal, about half the states, there may be special weight and length limits and even a special license.
Google "triple towing" and read on!

I do not think I would want to do it with an Airstream. There really is not a frame all the way back to the bumper and the back. Unless you do a great deal of adding some sort of frame I think you will be pulling just off the outriggers and the floor at the back. Hey, you are not even supposed to be able to carry a generator or a bicycle at the back.

In MN I did see a lot of triple rigs. I think the middle one was a 5th wheel always. I doubt if 3 ball mount hitches in a row are legal in many places.

I did see a Airstream gentleman on his way back from Alaska with a 17' boat with a 70 hp 4 stroke sitting on the trailer for it all mounted on the top of his Dodge 3500 TV. Maybe that is an option for your "skiff". He said he had made the trip to Alaska with the boat on the truck for many consecutive years.

Local trips just make 2 trips or have 2 drivers and rigs.

Most , if not all, only allow triple pulling when the lead trailer is a 5th wheel. Check ahead, but I think it is a very unwise decision to try and pull anything behind an Airstream. They were not built for that. JMHO

Ever consider kayaking? Roof racks are not that expensive.

Bringing along a boat

Check out "Sea Eagle" line of inflatable Kayaks, Canoes, and Small boats. They are very high quality. My friend has one of there Kayaks and really likes it.

They are not cheap but very transportable and easy to inflate/deflate. Worth a look.

Go places you can rent a boat.
