Window replacement issue

When replacing the oval rd lower fwd window just infront of the entry door, how do you replace a broken glass? I can see the frame has to have the rivets drilled out. I don't want to put "pop" rivet as replacements. I want to use solid al rivets that will appear stock. How will I get to the backside of the wall to buck the tails?

Thanks..........Dave

I cannot answer the glass replacement question, but on the rivet front the answer is to use olympic rivets. They work like a pop rivet, but can be finished to look like the original solid rivet. It does require a tool to do the finishing, but it is worth the $$.

The Olympics are what is used for all repairs so that inner skins do not need to be removed.

Is the glass better than the plastic glass that some use for the windows?

The window is replaced with a new sash and glass, with Olympic rivets and vulkem sealer.

If you use plexiglass, it will crack and craze in short order.

Also, the gray gasket is not available from Airstream.
