The Journey Begins

I drove past her every Summer and longed to take her home with me. I never mustered up the courage to just drop in and ask if she was for sale. Then one day on a whim, I perused ebay and what did I see but that very same 1968 22' Safari with one hour to go in the bidding! I told my husband I just had to try. I was in it till the end, but the other bidder had an automatic threshold higher than I did...so she slipped through my hands....or so I thought. We went back to our little fishing spot in Eastern Washington and there she sat! The guy who was bidding never followed through, never sent the money, dropped it. It was meant to be-me and the Cozycan!

Now the journey really begins. She appears to have all of her original parts plus some customizations. A little stinky, but who wouldn't be without a bath for so long.

This is my first attempt at a refurbish. I know, don't laugh. I will need much advice and encouragement and I am so glad to have found this site.

I am anxious to get started!

Shelley

Hi Shelley,
Welcome to the forums!

There is a massive amount of information on here, but it can be hard to find and digest. So don't be afraid to ask questions.

Also, make sure to take a TON of pictures as you take things apart (and before they come apart). They will save your butt when it comes time to put it back together!:-)
Also, everyone on here wants to see pictures!
