Rivet shaver

Does anyone have a rivet shaver they would rent? Does a aircraft pneumatic shaver do the same job?

There was a link at Out of Doors Mart online, but it is not working. I looked a few minutes ago.
When you look at one of their "How To" videos, the one about installing Olympic Rivets, the link there would take you to that rental. The link is still there, but does not work.

I do not remember the exact terms, but it basically was;
1. You pay the purchase price and shipping cost, they send it too you.
2. When you are done, you return it and pay shipping costs.
3. When it is received by ODM and they determine you have not damaged it, they refund the purchase price less the rental costs.

A couple years ago I had to replace some rivets. I live close enough to ODM, that I could pickup at the store, so shipping would not be a factor for me. If I remember correctly, I THINK my cost without shipping would have been more than $50. Since I only need to shave two rivets, I did mine using a Dremel tool.

ps: Call the guys at the parts sales counter. They are very helpful!

I do not remember exactly which bit, but I think I used a small metal head with fine abrasive adhered to the head. I did a couple practice runs, then did it free hand. Then I finished up with some fine sand paper, 1200 grit I think, using a circular motion with the tip of my finger.

I do remember punching a hole in masking tape to match the size of the rivet head. I used two or three layers over the rivet to protect the trailer skin.

add edit:
I remembered that I bought a kit that had a few bits, from Harbor Freight.
Maybe this one https://www.harborfreight.com/diamon...-pc-69653.html
