'67 Safari exterior molding

OK, I have tried every search on every forum topic that seemed related and even tried to spell it all correctly, but I've come up empty handed on exterior molding. Is there rubber or vinyl stripping that should go into the exterior aluminum extruded molding that runs along the bottom of the body? I've looked at all the pictures of coaches for sale and none are close enough to tell? There is the wide strip fore and aft of the wheel well and then the narrow one around the well. The extruded metal just seems a little bare just being riveted to the body.

Airstream did not use "insert type" moldings until 1974.

Prior to that, the center part of the moldings were either painted, or covered with blue electrical tape.

A few owners have chosen to replace the older rub rail and belt line moldings with the later "insert type."
