Today I sanded the face frame for the Overhead Cabinets. Pruned the Trumpet vine & palm tree, removed most of the ivy around the fish pound, cleaned out the fish pound, and got most of the trimings into the green can. Also got a three mile dog walk & a 10 mile bike ride to Rite Aid. Full day....good day.

Getting things done.

Wow Rex, you are motivating me to quit reading so much and walk the dogs a bit more! Maybe I will limit my reading to 1/2 hour on lunch break and 1/2 before going to bed. The construtor is on a health kick right now so guess I need to "join' up.

Its funny how much better I feel since I started on my Type 2 diabetes diet. I just didn't know, by counting Carbs, how it would make me feel so much better.

For the last 5 months, I have been so focused on working on the Airstream, I would miss lunch. And missing a meal is just as bad as eating too much at one time. So, I have slowed down, and I work smarter by taking breaks and eat a snack with 15g of Carbs...than go for a walk with the Dogs or a fast bicycle ride.

I love the photo of your dog...as you may know we love our two dogs, Jacky & Speedy. Also I would love to see photos of your matching Road Kings. The Bunny and I need to get out on ours, if only the weather would turn clear...more rain today!

Yesterday, The Bunny emailed Campground By The lake @ South Lake Tahoe, (SLT). We are trying to change our reservation and get a longer campsite, so we can take our 31' airstream. When we got the reservation last summer, we still had our old 23' trailer, so the site we were assigned, was for a trailer no longer than 27'.

We're still hoping someone cancels, so we can have there site over the 4th of July weekend, which is the busiest weekend of the summer in South Lake Tahoe.

The last time I was in SLT for the 4th of July, the town was in a state of emergency, and I was working in fire camp as a Documentation Unit Leader. So, hopefully we can enjoy a smoke free vacation over the 4th.

The Photos are from a friend, who was working as a Division Supervisor on the front lines of the fire...very sad, the number of homes that were loss the first two nites of the fire.

Looking at buying this light (4 of them), and place under the overhead cabinet. Found it on Salor Sams web site....They come in four colors; White, silver, black, and gold. The Bunny wants black.

I put something similar in my Argosy when I did the remodel. They are flush mount, with spring keepers and were a bright brass finish. came out really nice!!

Hey Rex,
That fine pooch is a Great Pyrenees. Bruce has like 12-18 of them at his little ranch. They can eat most of the neighbors if Bruce let them.

Looks like the hole needs to be cut to a 2.11" diameter. Need to put a tape to the drill bits, and see if I have the right size, (large diameter drill bit), on hand. I wonder why it isn't a 2" hole, or 2 1/4" diameter hole?

Very nice...have you been to his Ranch? If I lived on a Ranch, I would have 20+ dogs like Jacky. He's 1/2 Jack Russell and 1/2 Border Collie. Jack would love to live on a Ranch and herd cattle. His dad (The Border Collie), is a working cattle dog in Cottonwood Calif.

The Bunny and I purchased a new Mircowave for the "Old Girl", and I installed a new dead bolt, replacing the old after market add-on lock.

This weekend we went to the Earth Day event at Redding City Hall. They closed Park Marina Drive for "bicycle traffic only", so we rode our bikes to the event and I gave away free Garlic....

Nice weather today, so the outside cabinet shop was open. I glued and clamped the the two sections of the overhead cabinet face together. Than moved on to buliding a grape arbour on the north side of the house.

Once the glued dried, I mounted a section of 1 1/2"x 1 1/2" x 116" angle alum. for support and for mounting the cabinet to the ceiling. Filled in the crack between the two sections with some wood filler and sanded....

More photos of today's tasks: The new grape arbour...the vintage grapes were growing on the ground in the weeds, nice to have them off the ground. And by mid-summer, they will give us more privacy in the backyard.

Not withstanding the health thing and a unexpected expenditure on the truck, I stand in awe! You live in a wonderful place, got mad skills that you use in a great ways around the house, on your toys, and for doing this computer blog thing. I can never put into my project planning the thinking and action it takes to document my projects.

And no doubt the Bunny is the pick of the litter too! Or whatever it is that rabbits make ...

Thank-you Mr. Boomers, The Bunny and I are blessed, and have a great life here in Shasta Lake City...

I guess I could buy a new Diesel truck for $50 grand, like my brother just did, NOT! I would have to go back to work... And that's not in the cards. But, I may go back to College and take some of the wind & solar energy courses Shasta College has to offer. With the price of gas going up, I would like to install solar in the trailer and my home someday, (soon).
