Thanks Tim.... and you have a happy St Patty's Day also.
Looks like the "Great White North" has hijacked our weather. The news showed people playing golf in your part of the woods, with record daytime temps.
Its raining hard here, but we need the rain...we're still way behind on the precipition for the year. But, it looks like we may get a short break Saturday afternoon and Sunday morining in the weather.

Hey Ms. Reiner... thanks for the good wishes. I broke even playing cards, and The Bunny didn't win... nor did my sister Patti-Jo. But we had a great time. The Bunny made Corn beef and Cabbage, and I drank many Gunness.
Also we met this couple from Canada at Win River RV, who just purchased a brand new Airstream in Eugene Oregon. And were on a two month road trip around California. I gave them information on Jackson, and Casini Ranch RV parks. The night before, they stayed at 7 Feathers RV & Casino in Oregon. I like the new Flying Cloud...very nice looking Airstream.

Missing you and the Bunny at Casini
Trex,
Becky and I were looking forward to seeing both of you here at Casini. Wish you could see all if the alumnitis sufferers here, sunglasses are required to cut thru the glare. While there were some showers Freday afternoon, the meet-and-greet was under clear, but a cold sky. Looks like the sun will be out for the weekend. Hope to see you both on the road soon, or at least by the fall rally at Jackson Ranchria in October.

We have had Rita parked at the Redding Elks RV for the last 10 days... I have been building forms for a concrete pour where Rita sits at home. This last weekend was Kool April Nites car show, so we checked out all the cool cars, and used our bikes to get around town.

This weekend, my friend Wino-Wayne, and I placed a yard and 1/4 of concrete, (Approx. 33 cubic feet of concrete), into the footings for my future RV cover. It's been a long road, because I had to installed a new property line fence, then a 2nd fence, next to the pool, to provide more privacy...also new block & paver work on the back side of the RV site.
Rita has been parked at the Redding Elks RV for the last three days, so this morning, I returned Rita to her home... As you can see from the pics, Rita fits like a "Glove"...

Hey Trex
Havent heard from you for a while.
The block and paver work looks first rate. Nothing like the thrill of a loaded ready mix truck.Do they charge extra for short loads?
I have a 27' Avion parked in the Great North Woods, and have been thinking of an Rv cover for it. Do you have a plan? How many Posts on each side? Will you use 4x4 or 6x6 for posts? Gable roof or shed?
Feel up to a trip to sunny Wisconsin?

Hey Tim.... hope your year is going well! As you can see, I've been working on the yard. So I haven't had much to post, that pertains with this Forum.
Wino-Wayne and I rented a "You-Pour" concrete trailer, which holds 1 and a 1/4 yards. It cost $150, if you can get it back within 2 hours , ($35 more it you go pass two hours). This was my 2nd You-Pour trailer in the last two weeks... and it just happened that this 2nd trailer was just enought to finish the job...almost! I had to use two 80lb bags of pre-mix from Home Depot to finish the job.
My plan is to buy one of those metal frame "free standing" covers. New...they cost appox. $3,400 bucks for a 28 footer. But, I'm looking for a used one on craigslist. Indian Mike, got one for less than half the price of a new... so I'm hoping I can find one too!
More pics of this weekends work...

Hey TOP.... are you retired yet? I see you're having some issues with you pickup truck... Hope you can get that carb running correctly. I wish I would have done this work 10 years ago... hand digging the footings kicked my Butt.
Today, it was 90+ degrees in the back yard, so I reset the pavers for the outside shower, and used it after going swiming for the first time this year. Tomorrow, I plan to buy more pavers and wall blocks and finish the rear end of the RV site... hopefully.
I would like to get back to working on Rita....

Hey Rex,
I'm on my last month. 8 June is my final day.
I'll get the carb running well soon. I'm betting on Willy to work some magic.
Take it easy and have a cool cocktail by the pool.

Trex,
Your new pad for Rita looks fantastic! We are also trying to find a good location for our AS. It looks like we have 3 options...
1) keep it in the boat/RV storage yard and keep paying rent each month
2) enlarge our driveway to fit the AS (need to verify zoning and setback requirements from the city)
3) buy a new home that has plenty of RV storage space
Looks like option 2 is the most viable, but I need to do a cost/benefit trade-off analysis bet win #1 and #2 and check for zoning restriction. I will try to make the decision once I get my health issues behind us.
Hope you and the Bunny are doing well and hope to see you at The Jackson Rally in the fall.

Hey Shelly....I guess I asummed that you had a great big old barn to park Moonraker in... based on your avatar photo. Any type of landscaping tasks seem to take a long to to complete, if you're doing the work yourself. I'm always 5 years behind, on a 5 year landscaping plan.
Anyway, hope you and your family have a great summer....
