Last weekend, The Bunny & I attended the Jackson Ranch Air Rally... it was our 2nd year, and we both had a great time.

I won some money playing Texas Hold'em...not alot of money, but enough to cover RV site fees, fuel costs, two dinners at the casino, and lunch in downtown Jackson at the Rosebud Cafe. So, my luck at Jackson Ranch is running "Two for Two".

This year we stayed four nights, so I was able to meet many more of the other Airstreamers...It was nice to see Scott & Becky, have dinner Sat. night with Bart & Barbie, sit around the campfire at Tim & Nancy's site, and learn more about Neils collection of flags...three weeks worth!

Also, I would like to thank Bob for the Mack Tool screwdrivers left on my campsite table....

It's been raininig here at Shasta Lake City for the last three days, but tomorrow the sun is coming out, and Rita is getting a new home! Rita's not moving... I'm having a crew come in tomorrow and construct a metal free standing cover in our back yard!

This weekend we are parking Rita at the Redding Elks RV, along the Sacramento River, for two Halloween partys, and some bike riding on the river trail.

It should look something like this one from their web site...

Hey Rex,
Looks like you have been enjoying yourselves! Cool pics of the rally.
The cover will be nice for Rita. Take care and have a fun Halloween.

You will have to post pics of the end result. I am sure it will be nice to have rita under a cover.
I kind of pictured it this way...

Hey Mr C...nice to hear from you. You alway seem to find the funnest pics on the web. I would love to have that structure over my outdoor swimming pool, so I could use year round.

Today is the big day....the crew should be here sometime this afternoon, to put up Rita's new home. I'll post pics later today.

Rita has her new home! The crew was late getting here, and didn’t finish until after dark. But, I did get to see the last three innings of the World Series... Giants go up two games! Today, I will move Rita to the RV parking lot at the Redding Elks for Halloween weekend.

Trex,

Rita's new home looks very cool. Wish we could have something like that for our AS. But alas, zoning would prohibit one of those where we live....

Yep...there's something to say about living in "Old Town Pine Grove", aka Shasta Lake City...No CCR's. PS How was your next weekend at Kerrnville?

We had a great time at Kernville. I believe we had 20 'streams in attendance, so it was a good turnout. Lots of fun at the meet & greet Friday and lots of good food at the potluck Saturday.

We were planning to stay Sunday night, but the there was a severe winter weather report forecasting 60-80 mpg winds and possible rain/snow for Sunday pm thru Monday in the mountains and canyons around Kernville. Becky and I decided to get down the hill before it arrived and spent a great afternoon and night at Carpinteria Beach State Park. We were greeted by a warm afternoon and a beautiful sunset with a 'green flash' to top it off. All and all we had two fantastic weekends with lots of friends.

Happy travels,

Had to take time out from ALABAMA football to let you know how great your cover looks. We have to park under live oak trees that are about 100 years or more old. So far we've been lucky.

Last weekend The Bunny and I camped in Rita at the Redding Elks. Friday night was "Cook your own steak night", and costume contest. Less than 10% of the Elk members dressed up for Halloween, and for some reason, they didn't have the costume contest. But, we still managed to have a good time.

Sat. night, Greg and Terri, hosted their annual Halloween party, they live just down the road from the Elks lodge. I didn’t have my camera, so all the pics are from The Bunny’s smart phone.

First pic is from Friday night...the rest are from Sat. night

I just got Bunny's 1959 Schwinn Hollywood up and running, so we decided to go on a “Dinner Ride” in Redding along the Sacramento River trail. Our first stop was to snap some pics at the “Oscar Mayer Wienermobile… No, we didn’t eat there... I wanted to, but the Bunny wanted to go to this "Sit down" Thai cafe just off the trail on North Maket street.

After leaving the Wienermobile, we rode down river to the Sundial Bridge and made the loop around Turtle bay…than back to the Thai Cafe. I think she loves her Hollywood bike.

Looks like it’s going to rain all weekend here, so I went on a bike ride today… I rode from my house to the River trail, approximately a 24 mile round trip. I took some pics of some of the local Art at the old gravel pit & belt line, which delivered sand & gravel from that location to Shasta Dam from 1942 to 1945, for concrete pours...The belt line was over 15 miles long.
The gravel pit Art display is located next to Turtle Bay Museum and the Sundial Bridge.
