Today. I routered a slot on the backside of the door frames, (for the center panels). Once I gave each door a final sanding, I stained the doors & the false drawer with Deft semi-gloss....1st coat.

I think The Bunny had more fun than I, this last weekend... She went to a BBQ/Pool party... I cut 4 loads of firewood with my cousin Rich. The next day, I felt like someone had taken a Louisville slugger to my hips and back. So, I laid by the pool... The Bunny went to the Casino with my sister!

Today, I finally completed the lower kitchen cabinet doors, by installing the false drawer...It's seems like this task has taken "Forever"...so I'm very happy that I'm done.
In the PM, I cut out the center panels, glued "Seagrass" wallpaper onto the panels, sanded, and installed panels onto the door frames...Also picked-up, eight-1/2" overlay hinges, some clear drying wood glue, and some 5/8" brads.

Thanks TOP...Trainer of Personnel. Coming from you, it means a lot!
Today, I need to figure out how to mount the upper cabinet doors by myself, I need a 3rd hand. I may have to wait until The Bunny gets home from work...or make a jig for pre-drilling the holes for the hinges.

Thanks Mr Speed.... Looks like you're moving right along with your AS...very interesting what you're doing with the frame, and your plans for solar power. Keep up the good stuff, I love seeing someone working "Outside The Box". I think you're going to have a Cool trailer...very soon.
Today I installed the upper cabinet doors...nice to have this task complete! Had good timing today... I was able to catch an episode of Rawhide, when I was drilling the hinge holes. That Rowdy Yates was a great guy, he was into profit sharing with the rest of his crew...

Let's go RV'ing! Going to one of my Favs this weekend.... It's going to be in the high 90's to low 100's at this location. So, it's a good thing that they have a pool.

Today there is some Good news & some Bad news.... The good news first; Got the cabinet door struts installed. I found that if you install the lower screw first, it makes it easier to line-up the upper screws, approx. 1 inch from the top side of the door.
Now the bad news... when I was cleaning up my mess, and running the vacuum clearner, (the AC was also running on high)...the 110v power went out! I went outside to check on that "add-on" GIF, I noticed that it was smoking and looked to be very hot! I ran to the pumphouse and shut off the main power!
I did some checking and I think the 110v outlet above the kitchen counter has a short... You can shut off the breakers, and there is still power running to that outlet! This is the outlet that I had the vacuum clearner pluged into!
Like I said before...electrical wiring is not my strongest point. So, I have an RV Tech coming in the morning to make his assessment of the problem.
PS...we may not go RV'ing this weekend, unless John the RV tech can fix tomorrow morning.

"We're on, Like Donkey Kong!" John, the RV tech got here around 930 am. He did his checks and found the Black wire and White were reversed at the 30 amp shorepower outlet! The "pool builder" guy, who wired the shorepower from the pool house to our RV parking spot, screwed-up!
So now, our RV weekend get-a-way... is back on. Did anyone guess were we're going? Hint...The Bunny lost money there, last time we went.....

So, after the RV tech left, I drove on down to ACE hardware, and purchased 3 items... Outlet/GFCI tester, plug-in voltmeter, and a soild cover for the GFI box. It's interesting to see how many volts are pulled down when I turn on the AC.
Photo #1 shows voltage with AC on & Photo #2 shows voltage with AC off, (note that the voltage is low in the first photo, with the AC on). It will be interesting to see the voltage readings, at the RV park tonight.
The other tester shows if your outlet in correct, open ground, open neutral, open hot, hot/ground/reverse, and hot/neutral/reverse.
Photo #3 shows that the wiring is "now" correct.
I learned a little bit about the eletrical system in Rita and my house today... but I have much more to learn. I have some work to do on my shoreline power source, next Monday. I think I can move the outlet plug another 15 to 20 feet closer to the main power source at the pool/pump house. John the RV tech said that could help, "the closer, the better" he stated...also need a better ground wire. And a new 30 amp breaker in the pool house. Right now there's a double 30 amp breaker, (for 240v), and it should be a single 30 amp rated at 125v.

The Bunny and I just got back from Feather Falls Casino & KOA park in Oroville, CA. The Bunny was a "Winner-Winner chicken dinner", the casino gave her $1,000 bucks Saturday night in their hourly drawing. That girl has been lucky the last two weeks!
Friday nite we got there at 7:00 PM... after setting up, we went over to the casino, The Bunny got lost in a maze of crazed gamblers. I headed for the new Brew Pub, to have a craft beer and watch this Van Halen cover band....called "Fan Halen", "The David Lee Roth years". They put on a good show, and I tested 4 of the 8 beers on tap...so by midnight, I was ready for bed.
The next day we slept in...had a great breakfast, and then we enjoyed the pool and played a "long" game of Scrabble. I got away with a couple of misspelled words, when The Bunny wasn't paying attention. She won 250 to 198 or something like that????
In the PM, The Bunny went back to the casino, and I watched NFL football, and took the dogs for walks. At 5:00, we met at the Seafood Buffet...one of the best casino buffets in NorCal. After dinner I signed up for a Texas Hold'em Tourament...that is where I was, when they called The Bunny's name for the $1,000 bucks. I was very happy for her...plus she gave me 10%, and paid the deposit for our New Year's eve trip back to the KOA. Overall....a great trip!

Has anyone stayed at Seven Feathers Casino & RV Resort, outside of Canyonville, Oregon? We have reservations here, for this coming holiday weekend. Are there any other Airstreamers staying here, this coming weekend? If so, please send me a PM...if you're into meeting.

Wow, glad you didn't grab anything with wet hands while you were vacuming! That might be a "shocking" discovery!
Wow, that's some fancy RV place.. bet you'll see a bunch of BIG motorhomes and 5th wheels there!
Love the interior! Think Bunny can buy me some Lotto tix? I'll give you 10% of the winnings too!
Have a great trip!

Hey Marc...that's funny you would ask The Bunny to buy your Lotto Tickets, she had a couple of folks at work, wanting her to buy their Lotto Tickets.
Next time I use the Vacuum cleaner, I think I will run an extension cord from the house! Or turn off the AC, than use the vacuum.
I have never been to 7 Feathers...but, the cost per nite is only $40...less than most KOA's here in NorCal. And it looks pretty nice there, with an indoor pool, hot tub, and workout room. Plus!!! A place to lose your money!
I like having the voltmeter plugged in Rita...the volt reading was much higher this last weekend at Feather Falls KOA, compared to the readings at my place.
I was checking out my trailer outlet at the house today... I think I can shorten the 120v wire run approx. 32', and relocate the outlet closer to the pumphouse. I'm hoping this may give me more voltage...? I will find out tomorrow... today I had to cut back the grapevines growing along the fence line so I can get to the powerline.
More photos from this last weekend...

Today I installed a new 30 amp/120v breaker in the Poolhouse which goes out to the shoreline power for Rita. Then relocated the 30 amp outlet box, next to the rear bumper. Checked the voltage at the end of the end of the day...I think I may have gained 1 or 2 volts inside Rita.
Photo #1 shows new breaker on the left & old on the right. Photo #2 shows voltage with the air conditioner, (AC), running... photo #3 show voltage with the AC turned off. Photo #4 shows new location of outlet box.

Nice work for a self proclaimed "non-electrician" ! I love how you've mastered enjoying your Airstream while still getting work done on it. Might want to think about lending Bunny out as a good luck charm!!

Thanks Shelly....nice to hear that you and your family are fairing well after the big storm. The national news makes it look pretty bad in the northeast.
I learned a lot from John, the RV tech, when he came over. Cost me $95 for his time, so I should try to "pick-up" some job skills from the guy...
That Bunny has been on a winning streak for the last couple of weeks...she won "big" two weeks ago in LA, when she was visiting her dad. Hopefully, she Wins again this coming weekend at Seven Feathers Casino in Oregon, (four hours north of Shasta Lake City).
Once we got the "big 6" items operational in Rita... (power, refrigerator, propane, a bed, water, and the sink wasitline). Rita has become very usable for camping trips. Plus, the fun is...each trip gets a little easier and nicer... as I complete another task on my list.

Today I replaced the 30 amp 120v RV outlet. Once replaced, I plugged in the voltmeter at the outlet box, which showed a reading of 121 volts. Inside Rita, I got a reading of 118volts, which is an increase of 1 volt from yesterday's reading.
