Painted the back walls with Coco, and then painted two sample colors on the front and side walls. The two samples are Gold Coast white, and Sand Pearl which is the darker of the two. I also placed a sample of the curtains next to the paint. So, when the Bunny got home from work, she could make a final pick between the two samples. The paints seam to be drying normally, no sticky surface. So, it looks like the primer is doing its job....









So, what do you all think? Gold Coast or Sand Pearl? Trex

Today I removed the pannels that I had painted with a coco colored latex. The pannels are the orginal photo print over plywood. The paint I used was not drying, and the primer and paint was not adhering to the pannels. So its time to step back and redo some of my work....

So, it looks like I will buy brirch hardwood 1/4" plywood at Home Depot or Lowes, both are $28.00 a sheet, and use the old pannels as templates.

The light colored paint, (Gold Coast), looks good, drying well, and I think will last a long time. So far, no signs of Plasticizers, (sticky Walls).

New water lines and wast line installed today.... two steps forward! Plan to install new 3 gallon a minute water pump tomorrow. Hope to start on the cabinets & Pannels on Weds.... Trex

Today I installed two of the new pannels, on the right in the photo. I used the old pannels as templates to cut out the new cabinet grade 1/4" birch plywood. As you can see in the photo, the pannel on the left is the last of the old "photo wood plywood pannels." I plan to remove tomorrow so I can cut out the new pannel for that side. So, what do you all think folks?

I wish I had more room to work on the cabinets.... anyway I cut out and stained a new rear left pannel. It stopped rainning today so I was able to work outside when I was cutting the pannel and the diamond plate today. Once I got it stained, I finished installing the closet on the right side... I installed the old door because I wanted to make sure the pannel was installed in the correct location. I will remove the door at a later date and replace will 1/2 birch plywood, I think it will fit the orginal door frame? Has anyone ever done that... Also cut diamond plate and installed in closet as flooring.

I am using the diamond plate as flooring inside the cabinets, and under the sink and oven. It may be a little bit "Over Kill" but the way I am going to construct the cabinets, the trailer floor will also be my cabinet floor.

Found some thin, (1/16"), plastic vinyl sheeting for the shower/tub at Home Depot...used contact cement to glue to new pannel. Then installed the left rear pannel today using the original trim.... cut out and sanded the next pannel to be installed once it is stained.

Today I stained two more pannels with clear "brush on" Deft, and cut more diamond plate... which will be used as the floor inside the cabinets on the street side of trailer.

Today I cut diamond plate and mounted the new fresh water pump (3 gallon per minute). Sanded and put a 3rd coat of stain on the two pannels.... Trex "May Walley be with you"

Happy New Years Streammer's..... Last day of the year and the Bunny is cooking a Prime Rib and I am out in the Old Girl installing two more pannels and started installing the alum. framework for the kitchen cabinet. I added one more pannel on the street side, so the countertop will be approx. 18" shorter than my original idea. But more storage space for pots and pans is a good thing. I am thinking of using one of the rear original cabinet doors as the bathroom door. I will replace the dark photo wood with some 1/2' cabinet grade plywood for the bathroom door. I took one apart last week and it looks like I can replace the old stuff. Has anyone out there ever try this idea? I know some of you think that I am crazy for installing diamond plate on the floor....but no one is saying anything?

Hey Rex It's looking great. One question though if the framework you are installing is for the kitchen cabinet. I don't see and space for a bedroom. Do you plan on sleeping standing up in the space behind that bulkhead with the aluminium framework or is it that you are such a party animal that you don't sleep. LMAO.
BTW the diamond plate looks fantastic. How do you plan to keep things from sliding around inside the cabinets? The plate will be very slick. You're not crazy. Remember insanity is only a state of mind.

The two twin "Ozzie and Harriet" beds are gone... we will have a 44" wide "twin" bed that will fold down to diner seating, on the crub side (6'5"x44"). Plus we are buying a full queen "hide-da-bed" sofa for the front living area.

The diamond plate doesn't seem to be slippery, and I didn't want to have a double floor under the sink/oven. Plus, I think I could put rubber mats inside, if there were any issues with things sliding around under the cabinets.

But I am trying to use all the old hardware/framing/trim...just adding new wood 1/4" pannels.

So....the old girl will sleep 4, if you don't mind spooning. Trex
