Thanks Mr. Drift... so, have you used this product? Looks like I will have to buy another can of the stuff. Still have all the cabinet doors to make and stain. So, are you getting heavy snow also, like Mr 63? Raining every other day here, but in the mid 60's.

I've done some woodworking projects and used it. Hard to beat a good lacquer finish on the right piece of furniture. Deft definitely has some advantages over less expensive brands.
We are supposed to have rain or snow later today. The weathermen can't agree on which it will be. We're averaging mid to upper 30's every day now. I keep telling myself that spring is just around the corner....

Today I continued working on the diner... always have a rubber hammer handy when you're mounting alum. frames to the wheel well. It will be used before the end of the day.
The Bunny got a new coffee table for the front room of the Old Girl. The Fed-X guy came by around 430 pm. So I had time to put it together, before The Bunny got home from work.

Rthe time ex,
The Dude would abide!
Go with the red, a little color is nice.
Funny how things revolve around the delivery time of the little brown truck, and the DW not being home.
Can you find a picture of a Stormy Kromer for Chris W? Great for snowy weather.
Enjoy

I missed what the meaning of Stormy Kromer is... is that some kind verbiage from the Yooperland? Not sure 63, you need to give me the 411 on "Stormy Kromer". I missed it, in a past Thread, I guess?

Rex,
Your close. It's a wool hat (circa 1910) that is currently made in the UP. A baseball cap with earflaps. It's worn by Yuppers and Cheeseheads Maybe even those guys in Minnesota. Elmer Fudd's hunting (Bugs Bunny) hat. Actually a really nice hat!
Stay warm.

OK yep-per, I got it. So its not "Verbiage: a norn; meaning a profusion of words usually of little or obsure content. It's a hat! And a good one, at that! Yes, my friend from almost yooperland, I used to own one of these babies! I just didn't know the real name of that good old hat....I used it for skiing in the back county, when I was a young ladd.....

Today's project was to mount the two new lights for the bulkhead. The project turned out to be a bigger task then I anticipated. The old light bracket's had been bolted on with nylon nuts... with no way to get a wrench on the nut without pulling the center shelve completely out.
So...I got the good old 4" grinder out, covered the sofa, and the rest of the bulkhead, then cut off the bolt heads. Sanded and painted the area and after a 2nd coat I will mount the lights tomorrow.
Also upholstered two cushions with some black fabric...temp until we can pick out some red fabric off the web.
Plus, I mounted two kicker boards under the diner.

Here are more Photos of today’s work.... I'm using the foam from a tri-fold guest bed that my sister gave me, for the new cushions for the diner. I had to cut each cushion down approx. 12" and re-sew the one end.
We still plan to get some red fabric off the web, so this is a temp fix and Good practice for me to

Funny you should ask Mr. TOP, Trainer of Personnel. St. Patty's day is our 7th year of togetherness, for The Bunny and me. So, the plan is to tow the Old Girl down the road 50 miles to Rolling Hill Casino. They have a Self-serve RV park for $20 a nite, next to there "John Daly" signature golf course. They also let you stay the nite for free in the trucker parking lot. Sometimes we will stay one nite in the trucker’s area and one nite in the RV Park.
The Casino is located in Corning Ca, right off Interstate 5, so there’s lots of snowbirds’ who stay and play. Most of them stay for free in the trucker’s parking lot. The weather is going to be clear/no rain on Friday, so we will go Friday nite and come home on Sat.

The camping site is inexpensive and free. Could get real expensive if my wife were camped next to all those machines! Oh and CONGRATS on 7 yrs!

Mr. Hoot....that's a big 10-4. The Bunny is pretty good about staying on a budget. I quit once I'm down $100, the Tribe makes lots of money from that inexpensive RV Park & Trucker's who overnite "For Free". Last winter I hit a $1,000 jackpot @Rolling Hills, so I still have some of there money....but not much!
I should be working on the diner.....but, I need to post more photos of the new lights and new diner seating. Also got a removeable bracket for the diner tabletop. I may try to mockup a plywood tabletop for the weekend trip.

Finished and installed a temp table for the diner...The Bunny got a red blanket from Wal-Mart, so we used the blanket to mock up the Red diner seat. PS, lots of leg room.

Rex,
Congrats to you and The Bunny on your 7 years.
It appears that you and I are on the cutting edge of what is hip and trendy in both footwear and headwear. A lot of streamers have been asking about the hat. Mostly wondering if it would be warmer and stay on their head better than that blue beret they've been wearing. Socks, flip flops and Stormy Kromers (mine is green plaid) might just be the new standard for winter ASer's wear.
Got a break in the weather today 42degrees. Politics even hotter. Outrage!
As the Dude says "this aggression will not stand, man."

Happy St. Patty's day Mr. 63.... So, I went out to the garage and found my old Stormier Kromer. It was hiding in an old ski bag on the top shelve behind two sleeping bags and a tent.
This is a totally staged photo of me in my old Stormier Kromer hat and a shot of gold. I say its staged, because I never have shots on weekdays.
Now that I have it out, I guess I will take it to Rolling Hills and use it on the dog walks...well maybe, the weather girl said it's going to be 64 degrees F. on Sat. It may be to warm to wear.
More pics from today; Section that I cut off the interlocking rail for the diner tabletop; moved one of bunny's surf signs; Jack wearing the Stormier Kromer.

I have the Old Girl ready to go to Rolling Hills RV Park....just waiting for The Bunny to get home from work.
I got an indoor TV antenna from Wal-Mart, for $14 bucks. The antenna didn’t work inside the Old Girl, so I made a stand for it, using an old Satellite tri-pod and PVC white plastic 1 ½” pipe, then hooked-it-up outside. Works great, I get NBC, CBS, and ABC, but no PBS. But, it’s free and it will work until I have time to fix the original TV antenna on the Old Girl.
