very curious.

Old couple owned a private lot / house / airstream in a state park lake. When they expired they left all to the state park. It ended up on eBay because one of the rangers is fixing up the lake house to live in. They were up for what ever needed to be done to get it out. There was a pile of giant bamboo the size of a simi after everything was cut around it.

Never too early to shop for good deals. That is a nice selection of metal in the photos.

Yes I started removing the lower skins to get it off.
I still need to eject the rooftop ac unit.
I felt bad about evicting the ants with chemical warfare so I was hosing them out, until I discovered that the workers bite and inject formic acid. Then I nuked them out of self defense.

And now we are reminded why there are so few 40 year old Nomad's and Fleetwood camping trailers left hiding in the woods.. The bugs and critters simply eat the uppers, and god old oxidation wipes out the steel lowers...
Thank goodness ants and termites don't like aluminum...

Ha. Yes it is quite the rolling horror show but once the floorboards are cleaned out, shell is in mid air, and I'm welding on a new frame, it will seem less scary.
The existing frame is not as badly damaged as I expected. It limited to the first meter front and back. I was hoping it was a total loss because I did not want to consider repairing it. Can't wait to pull it out and get it's dead rusty ass out of here.

Thanks Rex, just a few hours every evening. Lol
Well she is down to ribs on the inside and I'm getting ready to lift the shell off.
Side track stays with floor and end track stays with shell? Is that correct?

The C channel can stay with the floor all the way around. That is If you have any floor left in the front and rear for it to fasten to! The rear floor of mine was nearly gone all the way around the rear of the trailer. I left it attached to the skin when I lifted the shell.
