Tank Dump Valve Froze
The dump valve will only move approx 1/2" back and forth but will not open. I assume the rust inside is keeping it from opening. Any suggestions? I assume I will have to saw the conduit and replace if I cant get to work.

Laminate flooring question...what is the best laminate flooring for AS? Floating, glue or nail down? What thickness is best? Any problems with
floor? etc etc.
thanks

BW I went with a lightweight floating laminate in my Sovereign. I wanted something lightweight as the trailer and the cabinetry I made for it is plenty heavy. We're casual users of ours, just camping approximately 6 times a year or so.

With any type of laminate you have to be careful of water spills and it's important to have your leaks fixed before installing any flooring. Don't ask me how I know that.

Anyway, we went to a local flooring warehouse and between the peel and stick vinyl for the bathroom and the laminate in the rest of the trailer, it was only around $175.

Your mileage will most certainly vary depending on what you're looking for. I went with the cheap underlayment because we're camping and it doesn't need to be quiet. If we were full timing it, I'd have sprung for the thicker underlayment as well as thicker lam.

Good luck!!

BW,
I've done 2 with Allure planks from Home depot, both worked out well. I did a RV with glue down and it lasted as long as I owned it. Peel and stick hasn't worked so good in the one I did...My latest is a Cherry composite from Lumber liquidators. So far...So good.

We did peal and stick in an SOB trailer we owned, and over winters, it would "unstick" in a few spots. When it was warm again, it would stick back down. Replaced a vinyl in one trailer also, and it worked well - just glued at the edges.

We have floating cork in our AS but without use, per se, I hesitate to comment on it's wearability. Looks nice! Didn't shift over last winter (not much of a winter for Minnesota, though).

Good ...I have been visiting Lumber Liquidators here in Baton Rouge. They suggest not using a thin laminate. Make sure its thick enough for the connection between the boards to be secure.
thanks

The Cherry laminate I'm using is 1/2" thick and snaps together. It's hard as a rock, I killed a bandsaw blade doing the trimming. Sparks would fly when I cut it.

I wonder if that's the laminate that has metal (aluminum oxide?) finish on it... Supposed to wear really well.

I haven't seen an established park in YEARS that would allow any discharge.

Anyone from Kentucky or NC? I have info on NC state parks but looking for other RV opportunities in both states. Will be traveling siteseeing and doing some genealogy work in KY and NC. Areas that I will be mostly visiting are Winchester/Boonesborough KY and Asheville NC. Any familiar with these areas?

I would like to replace my old Honeywell thermostat for my roof AC. Does anyone know of a digital nonprogrammable cooling only thermostat that would work on this unit?
