Thanks, Mark. I'm picking Lazarus up tomorrow. I was tempted to ask Ron if I could come up tonight with the kids and spend the night in it, before heading out for the Turkey Rally tomorrow, but I woke up with a bunch of gunk in my throat, so NyQuil is working overtime right now to make me feel better. Besides, it will give me the time I need to get everything we need for the weekend together.

Pics of the Turkey Rally
Well, we went to the Turkey Rally in New Jersey, and all in all I am extremely satisfied with Lazarus' performance. We found one leak in the PEX line, but it turned out that the fitting hadn't been crimped, so after Jack crimped it, everything was sealed up....no leaks. There were a few other nitnoy details to iron out, but what a comfortable trailer! The weekend was really fun, we met a lot of nice people, and I ended up joining the Delaware Valley New Jersey Chapter of the WBCCI, courtesy of Ron and Linda Amme of South Jersey RV...my number is 8371, in honor of Sherri...her birthday is the 8th of March, 1971, and Lazarus is a 1971 incedentally. Here are the pics from this weekend.

What a beautiful trailer. You should be very proud. Thanks for taking the picture of that cute Argosy. The class of the rally I'm sure.

Over,
We couldn't have asked for better weather....not a cloud in the sky all weekend.
Juel,
The Argosy belongs to Joe Campbell, the President of the DVNJ Chapter...he's a really great guy, as are all the other members of the chapter...everyone went out of their way to make us feel at home....but it really made me miss Sherri. I know I had the kids with me, but I still felt very lonely.

That trailer is absolutely beautiful! Successes like yours are a real inspiration to those of us just starting our restoration projects.

Inspiration
Nothing like a fine restoration to look at when one is half way through on their own. Thanks for the inspiration!

Doug and Margit,
Welcome to the forums...last time I checked there weren't any laws about having an old and a new Airstream at the same time In fact there are several multi AS owners on here. And some of them have new or fairly new AS as well as the Vintage units.
What happens if your wife doesn't let you do the talking???? As far as spelling check out some posts by CannyBanjo-man I don't think you get negative karma for spelling

Doug & Margit,
Thanks for the kind words. The best thing about this weekend was listening to one of Sherri's favorite songs, Billy Joel's "Piano Man", on the new stereo system with Quadraphonic sound It really made me miss her.

regarding Wahoonc's question "if the wife doesn't let Doug do the talking": the message is straight to the point, less sobby, punctuated, not as creative, and spelled correctly (and this is my third language!)

Okay, I don't want to overstep my boundries, but every time my husband reads your messages about Sherrie he starts to cry. Was she your wife? I don't mean to intrude, so it's okay if you don't answer. I won't take it personal. Cute kids by the way!

Margit,
Sherri was my wife of almost ten years. She was the love of my life and she passed away in August, after a four-year long battle with breast cancer. Aaron (wahoonc) posted the links to get to the posts to read about her.

Frederic,
We read the threads ... don't have any words left ...
Thanks's for sharing! Wonderful how you keep honoring her. She's touched everyone's heart through you.
And thanks for serving in the armed forces!
