Boy do I know that feeling of excitement - my 58 is in for its new running gear after 1 1/2 year rebuild project - can't wait to get it back on the road - yours is very inspiring - you should be able to enjoy that for a long long time.

Dude, that looks great! A couple of questions, if you have a minute. Your camper and mine share a similar layout seperated by a couple of years and feet.
1) Above your rear bunks, what is that "rolled up" looking stuff? A bunk bed arrangement of some kind?
2) When they re-plumbed everthing, what type of pipe was used? It looks like a combination of Copper....and Pex? Copper..... and PVC? Curious minds need to know!
3) Your inverter/chager. Did you choose to mount it inside the access door rather that under the shower? My Univolt was originally mounted under the shower just aft of the access door. Lots of issues there (inaccesable, water leaks, etc).
4) What is the valve/port/etc roadside aft above the bumper? Water inlet maybe?
Thanks for your time.

Holy Jeez, now these are comments, LOL! Okay, let's take the questions one by one:
Over59, I do not have a macerator pump....the clamps on the drain pipe you're referring to....the pipe in front of the water heater, maybe? That's the exhaust pipe for my "Foul Air" power vent, or as Ron from SJRV calls it, "The Fart Catcher", LOL!
Jack, It will be ready this week, and Ron has invited me out to the WBCCI Turkey Rally, in NJ, so that's where the kids and I will be.
Jim & Susan, those are indeed the much sought-after extremely rare (Ebayitis word, LOL) bunk beds. Ron redid the plumbing, using PEX. I don't know what the fittings are made of, my guess is brass though. I will ask him and get an answer for you. My Univolt was mounted exactly where the new Iota sits, in the rear curb-side storage compartment, under the bathroom closet, just in front of the shower. That valve next to the bumper is indeed the new city water inlet. It has a built-in 45psi water regulator and is much easier to connect to, rather than right next to the frame....I didn't like the old location, and I think the new location looks sharp.
Ken, Ernie, Pink and Tinsel, thanks for the kind words...YOU guys are the bomb! I decided to buy and have Lazarus restored, thanks to the people on this site. Keep the comments coming, I LOVE EM!!!!

Nope the source...we call them Fart Fans. On the 70's vintage airstreams there is a small fan mounted down near the toilet seat area to help relieve the odor situation when it arises

Stingray, are you going to put the new blue vinyl strip around your trailer. I put all three new orange strips around the Argosy and I was surprised at how much better it made the whole job look. It could makes yours look like it was just off the production line. You should be proud of what you've done. He (or she) looks great.

Juel,
Yep, the new blue vinyl striping was ordered today and will be completed, before the Turkey Rally starts on Friday. I originally had wanted Ron to repaint the striping, using my Dodge Ram's Atlantic Blue Pearl color, but the Dodge dealership gave Ron a tube of touch-up paint, instead of the spray-can....oh well; Airstream Blue is pretty too. I agree, it will give Lazarus that "factory fresh" look, given that the clearcoat is still intact.
Padre, I love the way the trailer looks, but it's the folks at South Jersey RV who should be proud; they did an excellent job restoring Lazarus.
Silver Surfer, that's probably one of the nicest comments I've gotten.

It catches that fart then whisks it down the blue tube and out the bottom of the trailer, for others to enjoy .....hey, I got four rivets now! Cool!

Juel, it's o.k. to love your sister, but you shouldn't let her drive your new truck!! Yes you can add the total to your 'resto' amount, we won't tell anyone.
One of my all time favorite signs was in the alley behind the Delaware Association for the Blind, it read "Parking for Blind Only" .... always made me wonder.

There is a similar sign along the wall of the headquarters building in the parking lot at the Georgia Industry for the Blind. It reads: "Reserved Parking for the Georgia Industry for the Blind". I told our State's ADA coordinator about the sign and he replied, "Would you rather have them try and find an empty spot in the lot?"
I recently stayed at the Marriott in Downtown Salt Lake City. All of the traffic lights have little beepers so the blind will know when the light changes...scary.
My favorite sign near my neighborhood reads "Blind Driveway". I really don't think they should let blind people drive.

Lazarus is BEAUTIFUL
I haven't checked the forum for a few days and look what happens!
What a GREAT looking trailer!
I am a firm believer in thinking that the trailer is happy, too! He wants to go somewhere ASAP.. take LOTS of rally pictures.,

Three Thumbs Up!
Wow, Frederick! That's a honey of a coach. Makes me want to send mine out and maybe have it done this century. Now the fun part begins - enjoying it with your kids. Congrats and I hope to see it in person one day. Diane

Thank your for the nice comments, ladies. I too think that Lazarus is happy...when I walk inside the coach, it smells new; no more old smells!!! RaChelle, you'll be seeing Lazarus, while I'm on Sherri's Cookbook Caravan; Diane, depending on where you are, I'd love to stop by and show it to you.
