Here we go . . . Gutted 1971

Me and the hubby have always dreamed of renovating a vintage airstream. Our dream is now a reality and our 71 sovereign is in the driveway. We purchased her from @emilyweav last month. She has already done so much work to her and we are excited to pick up where she left off.

This is us starting our thread as recommended.

Welcome to the forum!

Is that a new floor . . . perhaps supported by a new/refurbished frame?

Happy Trails.

Yep sure is!!! The girl that her before us did an incredible job with the tedious boring stuff. Honestly it’s kinda an awful feeling taking over where she left off. I feel like she did all the hard boring work. If you search @emilyweav you can see what she did prior. This is a pontoon floor something pretty new and cutting edge she was able to get her hands on. Pretty stoked about it!

Hello from Colorado: I spent all last winter under my friend's 76 Sovereign 31'. I learned a lot about the trailer. You are lucky to find one that someone rebuilt the frame and subfloor, and has the body securely attached. All you have left is everything else, which is a mountain of stuff. We finished their Sovereign and off they went into the Rockies. It is now a very nice, comfortable and solid Airstream.

I'll enjoy watching and learning from you folks as you progress on your Sovereign.
