Cooktop vent fan removal
Anyone know how this is done? I drilled out the rivets holding it in on the bottom and the side, but it won't move. There must be something I'm missing.
Don't know about the older trailers, but my 2001 had four screws run through from the inside of the fan cavity into the bottom of the cabinet.

On our Argosy, the round pipe goes through the roof under the vent and the entire vent structure appeared to have been assembled prior to installation (no easy way to dismantle in place). There was a copious amount of sealant around the vent pipe holding it in. I removed the vent cover, cut away all of the sealant and the whole thing came to the inside.

I got it out. The upper cabinet must come out and then the rivets are drilled out to remove from the cabinet. I was hoping it would drop down after I removed the rivets.
Once I loosened all the screws holding the cabinet, the exhaust came out of the interior skin and i was able to put it on the floor. Here's a picture of the fan exhaust with the screen to keep critters out. My fan was hardly able to turn.
