A-Frame close outs

Anyone have a good pair of these? I guess they are NLA. They look like a good candidate for 3D printing.

The airstream place in Salt Lake City sells them. Wait never mind, just looked, NLA. I bought 2 from them, they were trimmed wrong so didn't fit well. Made replacements out of sheet metal. The ones I made don't project forward but made a nice seal anyway. I used the old ones and cardboard to make a template of the section that hous back against the skin and sealed the edges with caulk.

3D printing would be awesome. The back part that goes against the skin needs to be wider. My originals were much wider than the replacements I got. Either of you capable of doing that 3D stuff?
I can probably dig up the ones I didn't use but it'll be a couple weeks before I have a chance to look.

If you don't have your own 3D printer go to your local High School Career Tech. That is what I did to get some latches printed for a Caravel.
They did a great job and the class wanted to be paid in donuts. A sweet deal all the way around.

I don't think finding a place to do the 3D printing will be tough. The hardest part is finding a set of good originals.

I bought a set on eBay. When they arrive I'll get a price to have them 3D printed and post back here or direct message anyone who is interested in a set.

Anyone know what years they fit?

Suggestion from the ones I got, see if they can extend the faces out on the sides, the parts that go perpandicularish to the a frame, mine were as narrow as the ones you got and couldn't cover the gaps very well and didn't leave much room for rivets.
Hopefully just some helpful input.
Joe

I've only checked one place (it had great reviews on Yelp) but they wanted $195 to scan and $175 per pair (20% discount if I buy 10+). I'll check a few other places. The local junior college didn't say anything about 3D printing in their class catalog so they may not have one.

I can have them scanned and then email the file and let everyone find their own place to have them printed.

I doubt a Jr. College will advertise a 3D printer. It will be a part of CAD or engineering class (computer aided design)

So, what ever happened with this? My annoyingly smart son got a DIY 3D printer, and I'd be glad to see how much he would get us to print out a set.

Did the parts ever get scanned to a file?

Thanks!

Don

If this is still a thing, I'd like to get in on a set.
It's one part that has me scratching my head on how to fabricate.

What have others done in lieu?

Thanks.
