What is it??

This came with my 86 Excella. It looks like something an old time photographer might have used for flash powder.

Can anyone tell me what it is and what it does?

Thanks 949

I believe it is stuck in the ground as an extra support for the step at the door.

It does support the stair. It goes under the stair at the back and is angled back to underside of the trailer in the middle of where the stair is stored.

dwightdi is correct. This brace firms-up the entry steps to your trailer. You may be surprised how much more stable it makes these steps.
