Fix it before you ship it, definitely.

I think there's a sub forum here about shipping. Let go see if I can find it......

"Sub" that's a great way to get past the Israeli blockade. I wonder if one of those WWII Japanese aircraft carrier submarines would work.

Could always fix any leaks, turn it upside down and start paddling.

Seriously though, if I were to transport an Airstream to Lebanon I would contact a Greek shipping line as they know the Med like the back of their hand. American dollars would be very much wanted by the Greeks right about now; the Greeks would know how to around the Israeli's blockade and whose palms to grease.

They even have an office in Haifa Israel

Here's a thread on transportation. I would defiantly look at getting a container floor to drive the trailer on and lash down. It would probably be better to weld up a cradle that would support and lock down the trailer at many different places.

This company is in New Jersey.

Contact them to purchase or lease a platform container suitable to support your trailer. Have them deliver the platform to a place that you can place the trailer on the platform secure it extremely well and arrange to have someone pick up the platform/trailer and deliver it to the docks.

Not only is the landscape and enviroment beautiful, but the Lebanese women are some of the most stunning examples of the gender.

I wish you peace in your travels.

Cheers

1st. Take it to P & S Trailer Services in Helena, OH. They have experience shipping Airstreams to both the Middle East and Europe. Let them make the arrangements.
2d. Before shipping it, have them fix anything and everything that needs repair. You will not likely be able to find more experienced and qualified AS repair/service people in Lebanon.

Ain't gonna be cheap!!

The mountains of Lebanon are a pretty as the Alps! Maybe that is why Lebanon used to be called the Switzerland of the ME. Enjoy your stay!

Don't worry, there is no "blockade" on Lebanon by Israel, or for that matter, by anyone else!!

But I doubt Zim will be able to get it to Lebanon. They do have an office in Haifa as was mentioned above since Zim is an Israeli shipping line. As you might already know if you are moving to that neighborhood, Haifa is not in Lebanon. It is in northern Israel!!

Another idea might be to ship to Cyprus and then arrange shipment from there to Lebanon. That is an option, but you will probably want "door-to-door" or "port-to-port" shipping. And expect to pay some "bakshish" on the other side.

Safe travels!
