You're not kidding it needs some work!
But first: do you have a place to put it? I mean, you need to plan to have a proper licensed camp site with hookups for fresh water, sewage, electricity, and the usual things like phone, cable, and so on.
I say this because sometimes, folks think that they can just hook it up in their back yard and move in. I know of
no municipalities that allow this.
In many places you can store it on your property, but you cannot live in it. There's a big difference, and you won't like the consequences when you get caught if you try doing it. Check with the city, you'll see what I'm talking about.
