Window leak repair

OK so I developed a very small leak in one of the curved panoramic windows in the front of my 2014 23D. I noticed it when washing the trailer. There was a small amount of water in the front window seal behind the curtain. We have never had a problem with their trailer leaking during any of the monsoon rain storms that we’ve camped in this leak was only noticed when I had the rock guards off the windows and was spraying the window with a jet nozzle for the water hose after drying everything up and allowing it to dry for a day or so I decided Captain Trolleys would be my solution. Captain Trolley’s Is very thin and works off the principle of capillary pull. This sealant that works great in tight spaces. I applied around the window glass between the aluminum frame and glass window. It wicks it’s way in to the smallest of cracks and cures to a flexible seal. This was the first time I had ever used this product and I’ll have to say, “I’m impressed”
The sealant is a milky white color so I was able to see from the inside of the window how it was wicking it’s way into the window. “WOW”. This looks like every Airstream owner should take a look at the potential leak point because even though my window would only leak with pressure from the water hose, it was worse than I thought.
Needless to say I sealed all of my windows with this before I was done.

I used the same product 14 years ago on a leak in one of the fixed windows at my dinette. Hasn't leaked since. Impressed.

Gmfl, wondering if you also used it or could use it on the rear storage compartment ?

I had to apply the sealant in multiple coats. Let each application dry fully. Apply till it beads up at the outside seam between the glass and the frame.

On the outside frame? Yes you could.
I would probably use Acrylic-R for those tight seams. Captain Trolleys would work as it wicks down into the gaps.

Thanks Ronnie, almost looks like my storage compartment was resealed already. I’ll check the rest of seals that could use acrylic-r like you suggested. And re seal my windows with captain trolleys. Scott

This is all I know. Acrylic-R looks great when applied.
