weather stripping

I need to replace the weather stripping around the windows and doors of my '69 Overlander. Any advice about which product to use?

The window and door gaskets are the same from 1966 to 1973.

I ordered a bunch of the weather stripping frm Andy at Inland RV.

Got it via UPS a few days later. Did my first window today. It was easier than I tought it was going to be. The hard part is getting the adheasive off my hands. I'll use latex gloves on the next one.

The weatherstripping was reasonably priced too.

Next thing I'm going to do is pollish the frame before I put it back on the coach. Taking the window out is a must. Makes it easier to watch the game and polish at the same time.

I have a 2000 Excella with a front window that appears to have some cuts or holes in the D shaped weather stripping. Water gets in to the bottom of the window then gets inside. Can I use sealent on the weather stripping ? or does it have to be replaced. It looks like the stripping was cut at the window joint and water is seeping between the two corners.

Replace the gasket using one seam at the bottom center. You can make a small radius corner with the "D" gasket.

You can fuse that cut together with the super weatherstrip adhesive.

Sometimes, for whatever reason, the person that puts the gasket on the square cornered windows, at Airstream, leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to even a little craftsmanship.

The gasket does not cost much and neither does the black adhesive.
