stripped screws doorlatch
When replacing lockset because of no keys I unscrewed the wrong two screws thinking they needed to come out to replace the new lock set. there are four screws total and two release the lock set and the other two hold the latch that catches the pin on the door frame. Got the lock installed just fine but can't get the other two to tighten up or unscrew. It does not appear that they had nuts as there is not enough thread showing. Do I have to buy this part by taking the rivets out on the door . Don't know what I'm missing here. Hope I'm on the right spot to ask this question ! Input would be appreciated as this has become very frustrating. Thanks
