Retaining strip or glazing bead for windows 1965 Caravel

I am new to the Forum and in the process of restoring a 1965 Caravel. I am having trouble finding the above mentioned material. Exterior strip on the windows. The current material is grey in color, flexiable and the Plastic Hall-Mark 12 glazing strip does not work. All the windows are the original HEHR numbers C129901399221185, 511221431, 397221291, 394221395. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Yes i have contacted Vintage Trailer Supply and they have no solution. Apparently AS used this product from 60-65 only. It appears supplies have discontinued making it. So far i have run into a road block--looks like I will have to retrofit.

Check McMaster Carr. They may have some thing that may work.

I am restoring a 65 Overlander with Hehr Mark 12 window frames. I just ordered this material from VT and it is working fine.

You have to have a roller tool and have the frame perfectly clean to install it but it DOES work. The PO decided to use Vulcum to hold the windows in and and it is taking hours to clean each frame and there are 12 windows we are restoring on the '65.

I used it on my 1964 Bambi II, which has pretty much the same windows as your 1965 Caravel...
