Replacing window glass in '50s Airstream
What type of glass is installed in 50's Airstreams? Is it standard tempered glass? any recommendations on a source?

I believe I used 1/8 " tempered glass. Just bought it locally from a glass/mirror store. would definitely spend extra and get tempered.

Airstream used standard pane glass through 1965. 1966 was the first year of tempered glass.

Hey zgears
For safeties sake replace the single strength glass with 1/8 tempered glass. Your glass shop will have to custom order it, but it only takes a couple of days.
