New Vista Windows installing in a '85 345 motorhome

Hi, I'm planing to install the new style 31" tinted vista windows in the rear sleeping room top and a 18" one in the center shower of my 1985 345 motorhome.
My question is, does one of you specialists have done this before?

Any help and tips would be appreciated

What i need to know

Did the frame construction changed in the thickness of the walls? The 345 seems to be 2".

What have the new trailers thickness?

Did you prefer installing the windows with olympic pop rivets and shave or by hammer rivet gun?

Wow, many work. And a unbelievable first cut in my beloved roof...
I will do some pics here...maybe one of you like these windows as i do...check out the cool shine in the shower now...

I think your post has got missed by the other motorhome owners because it was posted to the general restoration, repair and parts forum (typically used by the trailer owners). In general everyone posts in the motorhome model specific forum no part what the subject.

Although the current Vista View windows (used on current trailers) is a good choice to use, because they are a different shape to the original glass VistaViews and the 'close-outs' are still available. The older windows are much more substantial (heavy weight) the close out panels are very rare (much rarer than the windows), and so custom built close-outs are needed.

I have had 5 original VistaViews installed in my Argosy motorhome (using Olympic rivets) but had to have the close-outs made to suit.
