Sometimes referred to as Chicago Binding Posts?

If so, check out www.mcmaster-carr.com.

Ok so I figured it out. Used a tap and die set that i have in my Ag shop to reduce the threads on the screw after I took the entire mechanism apart. Then went to lowes and got some new metal barrel nuts that fit perfectly.
